A refined expression of contemporary Cretan cuisine, curated by Chef Manolis Papoutsakis, celebrating Crete’s culinary heritage through exceptional local produce, authentic flavors and a sophisticated contemporary approach.
Chef Manolis Papoutsakis was born in Chania and raised in Kissamos, Crete. He studied Philosophy at the University of Crete and later moved to Thessaloniki to pursue a PhD on Plato, while also developing his professional culinary career. In 2017, he opened Haroupi, his award-winning Cretan restaurant in Thessaloniki, known for its contemporary approach to traditional Cretan cuisine. He is also chef and co-owner of Deka Trapezia in Thessaloniki and Pharaoh in Athens, which has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
Here, flavour begins with the land. Through exclusive partnerships of Beyond with selected local organic producers, Chef Manolis Papoutsakis selects and brings seasonal ingredients to the table, each one rooted in place.
